Correction: Convention Hotel Reservation Deadline = June 19

After sending out yesterdayís issue, I received a call from the hotel stating that the deadline is June 19, not 26.

Also, Michelle Klosterman emailed me that it might be best to call during daytime business hours because the desk clerk she got after hours didnít know the NAPA room rate.

So, you have until June 19th to make your reservation at the University Quality Inn in Lansing, Michigan, if you want the reduced room rate available to NAPA members. (Rooms may be available after that date, but the NAPA rate is not guaranteed in that case.)

The Convention dates are July 11Ė13.
The hotelís phone is 517-351-1440.

NAPA Convention

The Convention will be July 11th through 14th at the Quality Inn University in East Lansing.

https://www.choicehotels.com/michigan/lansing/quality-inn-hotels/mi030

The room rate should be $89 plus taxes and folks should mention "National Amateur Press Association" when booking to get the Convention rate.

In addition to the meetings at the hotel we'll have a trip to the Michigan State University Libraries Rare Book room for a couple of presentations and, I hope, an opportunity to play a bit with their Ostrander-Seymour handpress. The banquet will be at a local restaurant, Coral Gables (one of my favorites) and our banquet speaker will be noted poet Cindy Hunter Morgan. Cindy also led the team that taught a book arts class at MSU where I taught the letterpress component.
